Terms of Service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of services provided by Majeroni Orthodontics (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including our appointment, communication, and text-messaging programs. By receiving care from us, providing your contact information, or communicating with us by text, you agree to these Terms. Agreeing to these Terms is not consent to receive text messages — text-message consent is separate and optional, and is given only in the ways described in section 2.

1. Our services

We provide orthodontic care and related practice services, including scheduling, appointment reminders, and two-way communication with patients and their guardians by text (SMS), phone, and email.

2. Text messaging program

With your consent, we send text (SMS) messages such as appointment reminders, confirmations, care-related follow-ups, and replies to messages you send us. This messaging program is operated by Rome AI on behalf of Majeroni Orthodontics, and messages are sent from +1 (925) 886-3744. There are two ways to opt in: in writing, by giving us your mobile number and checking the consent box on our opt-in page or our new-patient intake form; or verbally, by saying yes when a team member asks you on the phone. The script they work from, and the points they always cover on those calls, are published on our opt-in page. Calling us, texting us first, or giving us a mobile number is not consent on its own.

Consent is optional. Agreeing to receive text messages is never a condition of becoming a patient, booking or changing an appointment, completing our forms, receiving treatment, or making a payment. The consent checkbox on our opt-in page and on our intake form is unchecked by default and may be left unchecked; you can decline and still use every part of our practice.

  • Frequency varies with your appointments and conversations.
  • Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
  • Opt out anytime by replying STOP; reply HELP for help. Opting out does not affect your care.
  • Neither we nor the carriers are liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information. We never sell or share your mobile opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.

3. Not for emergencies or medical advice

Text messaging is for convenience and coordination only. It is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment and must not be used for emergencies. If you have a medical or dental emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number, or contact our office directly by phone. Information shared by text does not create a provider-patient relationship on its own and is not guaranteed to be monitored in real time.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, current contact and health information, and keep it up to date.
  • Only enroll a mobile number you own or are authorized to use.
  • Use our communications lawfully and not to harass, abuse, or send unlawful content.
  • Keep confidential any account credentials we issue.

5. Appointments & financial policies

Specific appointment, cancellation, and financial terms are governed by the agreements and policies you receive from our office. Those documents control where they conflict with these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

Our content, software, and materials are owned by us or our licensors and are provided for your personal use in connection with your care. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Our communication services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the messaging program, including delayed, misdirected, or undelivered messages or carrier issues. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or our professional obligations as your care provider.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of our services or communications after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
